Day 3: Philippians 1 - Every Time I Think Of You

I love Philippians, it's such a profound, powerful and joyful book.

Paul is writing to the church of Philippi. And he expresses his love for them with great passion and tenderness. He yearns for them, longs for them. And he's not afraid to make that abundantly clear. 'God knows how much I love you and long for you..' (Phil 1:8 NLT)

It's how lovers talk to one another :)

When I was reading it, I felt the Spirit move me, and show me that this prayer is also for me, personally. So I skipped the 'all' in 'all of you' and read it again. And sang it like that.
It moved me to tears and made me laugh at the same time.

Because this prayer of Paul is actually the Holy Spirit expressing His love for these people.

Expressing the love of Jesus for me. For you.

It's a prayer you can sing to and for your child, your pet, your friend, your bride or you can take a moment and be still and realize it's Jesus singing and rejoicing over you.

Remember Zephaniah 3:17? 'He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.' 😉❤️

It also makes one bear of a wedding song btw! 👌😁

3. Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.

4. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for you with joy,

7. So it is right that I should feel as I do about you,
for you have a special place in my heart.

8. God knows how much I love you and long for you
with the tender compassion of Jesus.

9. I pray that your love will overflow more and more,
and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.

11. May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation
making Jesus attractive to all.
