What Jesus Said About the WordSample

The Power of the Word
Hebrews 4:12-13 - For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
What stands out for you from Hebrews 4:12-13? Why do you think these two verses are in the Bible? Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you what it means that the Word of God is “living and active.”
Read Revelation 19:13 - He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The Word of God. This means Jesus is the Word, and He speaks the Words of God, His Father.
Now read John 1:1-3 very carefully. What does it say about Jesus as the Word? In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made.
Reminder: Pray for opportunities to share your testimony and the gospel with people wherever possible. Pray for at least one gospel conversation this week.
