What Jesus Said About Assurance of SalvationSample

More reasons why we can live with full assurance that we will go to heaven if we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour.
1. We are saved by grace - not by merit, our works, or our personal contributions. Grace is to receive something you do not deserve. Romans 6:23 describes it like this: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
2. Jesus came for sinners and not for righteous people. If you are a sinner, you qualify to be saved. Luke 5:32 – I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.
3. Jesus said he gave us the right to be children of God. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12).
4. Emotions can change, but God does not change. The Lord will accomplish what concerns me; Your loving kindness, O Lord, is everlasting; Do not forsake the works of Your hands (Psalm 138:8). Emotions can never determine what is true or false. God's truths do not have an expiry date.
5. Jesus died once for all of us. The sacrifice is complete and sufficient. Nothing can nullify the cross.
