God's Redemption Story (Judges - 2 Samuel)Sample

David as a Child - 3/5
As the youngest brother, David didn’t get to do cool stuff, like fight battles. He was stuck at home with the sheep and sometimes got to play his harp for the king. One day, David’s dad told him to take food to his brothers. We don’t know if he grumbled about the long walk or was excited to get to see a battle, but we do know the seemingly lousy job turned out to be a right-place-at-the-right-time moment for David. His brothers made it clear they didn’t want him there, but because David was obedient, he defeated a giant and began a long and successful career as a warrior.
Is there some task—mundane, boring, hard—that God is asking you to do and you’ve been dragging your feet? Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with excitement for the job and to show you what right-place-at-the-right-time opportunities might be waiting for you.
