God is with Me in the Valley

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. -Psalm 23:1-4

The Promise: God is with me in the valley.

What valley do you find yourself in? Where do the shadows grow? Your good Shepherd walks with you, guiding you to places of rest, replenishing what has been lost, and watching over you with diligent attention. His ways and His heart comfort in the middle of the mess, and you can keep walking through your struggle as He becomes your companion.

Try This: Journal

Pull out a brand-new or well-worn journal. Take it outside or sit down by a bright window, wherever there is a calm, pretty view with some good natural light. Remove the cap of the pen and put some thoughts on paper. Share your thoughts, your fears, your hopes. Make it personal, and personalize it to Jesus. Tell Him what you’re feeling and ask Him to meet you there.
