What Jesus Said About Himself as the Son of GodSample

Jesus spans the ages. He was there in the beginning. Jesus is eternal.
He is Alpha and Omega (Revelation 3:14). Author of Eternal Salvation (Hebrews 5:9). Beginning and End (Revelation 22:13). Creator of all Things (Colossians 1:16). Creator of the Ends of the Earth (Isaiah 40:28). Eternal Life (1 John 5:20). Light Everlasting (Isaiah 60:19‑20). First and the Last (Revelation 1:17). He Who fills All in All (Ephesians 1:23). The Lord God, who is and was and is to come (Revelation 1:8). Ancient of Days (Daniel 7:13‑14). God of Eternity (Isaiah 26:3). Eternal Life (1 John 5:20). Everlasting Father (Isaiah 9:6). Light Everlasting (Isaiah 60:19‑20).
The fact that He was from eternity until eternity is the comfort of everyone who accepted Him as their Saviour and Lord. So many people want to know how old the universe is. Maybe 10,000, some say, and others say 14 billion years. Nobody really knows. But with great assurance, we can know where we will be 14 billion years from now.
This very fact gives stability in the heart of a Christian, gives meaning to life, and provides eternal hope. In Christ alone, we have eternal hope – the One that created everything and the One that sustains everything. He who fills all in all (Ephesians 1:23) and is the Upholder of all things (Hebrews 1:3).
