Day 4: Before the Tasks I Don’t Enjoy

(Whenever you see "[task]," sub in a particular chore or responsibility of yours you don't enjoy doing to pray for in this prayer.)

Lord, it’s time for [task] again. I know I am to be thankful in all circumstances, so I thank You for [task] (1 Thessalonians 5:18). I know I am to do all things as unto the Lord, so may I never degrade any part of my job (Colossians 3:23). [Task] is no less glorifying to You than the larger or more enjoyable tasks. Help me rejoice in the smallness of these tasks, knowing my obedience is itself an act of worship. Oh God, I want to worship You in all things! So please accept this small act of faithfulness as my way of singing Your praises. Reward me in this tiny act of submission by molding my character even more into the likeness of Your Son.
