Follow The Leader, Becoming A Better DiscipleSample

TIME
Jesus spent time with His disciples. He spends time with you. Why? Because no baby is born able to do for themselves. They need to be taught, nurtured, guided, corrected, and loved. Although Jesus’ Holy Spirit makes it possible for Him to do that for every single person who puts their faith in Him for salvation from the inside, God intends for followers of Christ to stick together and help each other along in the process. Just as it is easier to follow instructions when they include illustrations, it is easier to follow and obey Jesus when you are able to watch someone else do it correctly.
Whenever possible, help those who are younger in their faith than you are—physical age has nothing to do with it—to mature and grow. Spend time with them. Teach them what God’s Word says and remind them of the Truth when they need to hear it. Show them how to pray. Correct them in love when necessary, and love them no matter what they do or how they respond.
Like Jesus did, make disciples.
How might choosing to disciple someone else encourage and challenge you in your own spiritual walk?
Read Hebrews 10:23-25, Ephesians 4:1-6, and Matthew 28:18-20.
About this Plan

Salvation is about rescue. Christianity is about obedience, and the second is proof of the first (1 John 2:3). Call yourself a Christian? Then follow Jesus. Obey.
