Whispers From the Olive Tree

DAY 1 OF 7

WE ARE FRUITFUL

“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:28 KJV

Elohim, the Creator's first instruction to Adam and Eve, was to be fruitful. He expected them to populate the earth with reproductions of themselves and “replenish” what He had created.

Olive trees bear fruit when they are well beyond a century old. This signifies society's elders' ability to remain productive and fruitful despite our advancing years.

We will not outlive our usefulness like the olive tree that produces fruit in old age. Although we may face physical changes and become unable to do things as we used to, we must learn to do them differently to remain valuable and relevant.

God promised us if we worship Him, we will flourish in His courts and bring forth fruit in old age (Psalm 92:13-14 KJV).

AFFIRMATION: I embrace the wisdom of the olive tree, recognizing that my value evolves with time. Just as the olive tree adapts to produce fruit in old age, I adapt to new ways of contributing. Despite physical changes, I cultivate resilience, finding innovative ways to stay valuable and relevant, ensuring that my purpose flourishes in every season of life.
