Teaching Your Child How to Respect and Obey (God’s Way)Sample

Day 2: Open Communication
In this age of constant distractions, fostering a space where our children feel heard and valued is of utmost importance. Our guiding Scriptures for today are Proverbs 22:6 and Ephesians 6:4. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it," while Ephesians 6:4 instructs us to bring up our children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Action to take today:
Engage in open communication with your children. Create an environment where they feel comfortable expressing their thoughts. Discuss the importance of respecting and obeying parents.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me communicate openly with my children. Grant them understanding as we discuss the values of respect and obedience. May our conversations be filled with love and clarity. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Next, read and meditate on God's Word before you go about your day.
