3 Biblical Strategies for Making Tough DecisionsSample
Who do you go to for advice? If you need advice about studying for a test, you might ask the smartest kid in class for some tips. If you need investment advice, you might ask a banker what she recommends. If you need advice about raising kids, you might ask a couple who has already raised their kids and can come alongside you.
When we need direction, we can talk to God about it. We can also seek advice from people who have had a relationship with God for a while and who show faith and wisdom in their own lives. People who seek God in prayer and the Bible. People who desire to follow God more closely and want the same for you.
In our busy lives, finding friends and building relationships must be intentional. It won’t happen by accident. Start by taking inventory of the people who are in your circle. If you don’t have a lot of friends who can be encouraging in your faith, you might need to change your environment and surround yourself with more people who can.
Prayer: God, I don’t want to do this life alone. Help me to be courageous in building relationships. Help me be a comfort to others, as well. Amen.
