Forgiveness: Looking at Your Neighbor From the Love of GodSample
The world causes me pain!
Every day, one of our most beautiful missions in this life is to strive to be good and better human beings. Sometimes, we feel that there are people who “don't help us.” This can happen because they perform actions that bother us, we have a discussion, or they surprise us with behaviors that hurt us. This discomfort generates various feelings such as pain, anger, and sadness, which sometimes lead us to react inappropriately or simply accumulate that pain.
As my mom says, 'God sends us what we need to learn.' These moments allow us to know ourselves better and identify in which areas we need to grow and strengthen ourselves, and many times, it's about developing more patience. Patience with others and with ourselves! Or perhaps it is about something deeper, like FORGIVENESS.
It also happens that we constantly judge. We have prejudices and beliefs, and if people do not fit into these, we feel disappointed. We put so much weight on our own ideas that we try to defend ourselves or change the other person. It's easier to think that the other person is wrong and we are right.
Is it wrong to recognize the humanity in another, their mistakes, their weaknesses? Is it wrong for something to bother or disgust us? Is it wrong to see humanity in ourselves?
Take the time to reflect on the times when you have been upset by something or someone and think about what emotions and feelings it has generated in you.
We invite you to listen to the song 'Jesucristo basta' by the group Un Corazón, which reflects unconditional love and acceptance.

About this Plan
How easy is seeing the good in another, especially when anger clouds our judgment? Stopping and exercising empathy to understand someone else's story is an act of will. It is recognizing that God loves us all equally and that his love is not exclusive to a few.
