From Victim to VictoriousSample
You’ve probably noticed that there’s a t-shirt for everything: bands, sports teams, tv shows, movie franchises, you name it. Clothing is a significant way that people identify themselves, and the logos we wear tell people something about who we are.
Our mindsets are like an emotional graphic tee we wear – and a victim mentality tells nothing but lies about who we are. Because God is equipping us to handle all the curveballs of life, and he can transform our minds to remember this truth, we no longer have to identify ourselves as victims.
Ephesians 4:23-24 tells us that, like putting on a new shirt, we can put on the identity God gives us. You can start by asking yourself “In this situation, what would a victorious person do?” How would someone confident in their identity as an overcomer and conqueror in Christ respond in your situation? It’s time to take off your old victim mentality and put on what God has for you!

About this Plan
Victim mentality causes us to blame others or outside circumstances for our problems. But as vulnerable as we are to developing a victim mentality, we can get ourselves out of this frame of mind. In this Bible Reading Plan, we’ll look at the truths that can help us step out of a victim mindset and into a posture of victory.
