What Now?Sample

We know we have a perfect, completely understanding God who created us to have a close relationship with him, but sin damaged that connection. When the Bible was written, the word “sin” literally meant to “miss the mark.” Sin began when Adam and Eve chose to not listen to God in Genesis 3, and it has been a problem ever since.
When Paul wrote the book of Romans, he said we all fall short of “God’s glorious standard,” meaning we all miss the mark! Sin can be obvious, like lying, stealing, or hurting others. But sin can also be sneaky, disguising itself as something good when it’s not, like doing good things for the wrong reasons, feeling jealous when someone has more than you, or leaving someone out who is different. Sin separates us from God, but God decided to fix that separation through Jesus.
