Remember WhenSample
At the end of every week, we'll give you a challenge—something to try that might be outside your regular routine. Each challenge is designed to help you develop one important spiritual habit. This week, it's...
SPEND TIME WITH OTHERS
The people in our lives can have a big impact on our faith—and we can have a big impact on other people's faith too. But that doesn't happen by accident. Today's challenge is going to help you connect with at least one other person in a way that helps you (or maybe even both of you) grow!
CHALLENGE
One of the best parts of the Christmas season is eating food with people you like spending time with. For this challenge, use food to gather those you love and say thank you for being people you can trust. Here are some ideas...
- Make a meal. Offer to prepare the meal for your family or invite friends over. Not a chef? No problem! Keep it simple with something like canned soup and grilled cheese. It's not about serving up something gourmet but about showing you care.
- Bake cookies. Get together with friends to bake a sweet treat and then hand-deliver it to someone present in your life on a regular basis, like a teacher, coach, or grandparent.
- Build a gingerbread house. Get together with friends or family to build gingerbread houses together. Use the time to discuss the past year and what you anticipate this Christmas. For simple supplies, graham crackers, store-bought icing, and candy work great!
- Offer to help. Is there a trusted adult in your life who's always there for you and who you know will go the extra mile on a meal this season? Ask if you can join them in the kitchen for prep or cleanup. Use the time to ask about some of their favorite holiday traditions.

About this Plan
Christmas is one of those holidays that feels timeless. It's a season that invites us to be nostalgic and think about memories from Christmases past. In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll take a look at the Christmas story to see how something we may have heard long ago can still help us grow today.
