More to the StorySample
Reading the Bible can feel intimidating sometimes. But one simple way of studying Scripture is called S.O.A.P. It stands for "Scripture," "Observation," "Application," and "Prayer." We'll show you how—it's easy!
S: Scripture
If you haven't already, read today's passage of Scripture. Then, summarize it in your own words.
O: Observation
Read Micah 7:18–19 again.
- What stands out to you?
- What word pictures are used in it to describe God's approach to sin?
- What questions do you still have?
A: Application
- What do you think about God being so willing to forgive that your sins could be thrown into the sea? What messages have you heard that might make this hard to believe?
- What's a mistake you've made that you need to let go of? What would it look like for you to move on?
- Is there anything you need to ask for forgiveness for or offer forgiveness to someone else for?
P: Prayer
Spend some time in prayer talking to God about mistakes or wrongs you want removed from your life. Ask for forgiveness and for help, trusting that God sees you free of these things. Then, say thank you for the grace and mercy God gives.

About this Plan
God's story is not a story meant to be put away on a shelf somewhere, but it's one we're meant to explore and experience because we're deeply connected to it. In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll take a look at the story of God and see how we can make a difference in our communities because we know there's more to the story.
