Grow With God: 31 Day DevotionalSample

DO YOU TRUST GOD?
DAY TWENTY NINE OF THIRTY ONE
This passage has a lot to unpack and could be an entire book, series, or sermon on its own.
How many times have you said, “I trust you God. Tell me what to do,” only to cower in fear or be halted in your tracks by doubt soon after? We come so boldly to God’s Throne, but as soon as we go about our daily life, the enemy begins planting seeds. He tells you why God won’t come through, why you shouldn’t trust God at all, and furthermore why you don’t even deserve God’s help.
When you face a trial, you might think it’s always because you’ve done something wrong, but facing trials is sometimes just proof that you’re alive.
Ultimately, how you react to such hardships will determine whether you grow closer to God or drift further away. When we draw closer to God, we must ask what this trial is meant to do. God doesn’t want you to lack anything because He wants you to be mature and complete.
Are you supposed to learn something? Is this a chance to change yourself or your situation for the better? Perhaps God wants to work on your behalf?
Prayer: If you’re currently going through a difficult situation, ask for God’s Wisdom on how to handle it and strength to get through it.
