Bright Lights, Big CitySample

Have you ever tried walking on a slippery surface? Maybe it was across an ice patch or over a wet floor. If you have, then you know how careful you must be! Every time you try to take a step, you’re worried your feet will move in the wrong direction, your arms will start flailing to keep your balance, and it feels like you’re about to fall. It’s chaos! Sometimes, our lives feel like navigating over a slippery surface. With chaos at every turn—in our relationships, emotions, families, and more—it feels like we’re on the verge of collapse. The good news is we don’t have to wonder how to stay standing strong. When we look to God for light and guidance, we can be sure we’ll stay steady. Even if we stumble, God won’t ever let us fall.
What is something in your life that feels like chaos right now? Maybe in your family, with your friends, on your team, or just in your own emotions. Whatever it is, ask for God’s help to stay steady. And remember, with God, you’ll never fall!
