4 TRUTHS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE GETTING MARRIEDSample

How do you choose the right spouse? (Part 1)
That is an excellent question! Life as a couple is a real challenge and needs to be built up over a lifetime, so getting off to the right start is essential.
First, I want to remind you that marriage is not the next step after conversion and is not essential for sanctification.
- The first condition is to check your own heart: are you ready to commit to making your spouse happy?
- Look for a spouse for the right reasons, without trying to fill a void that God wants to fill with you. Invest in your personal relationship with God.
- Turn that desire over to God, asking Him to lead you.
- If you are a believer, choose a spouse who shares your faith. It is best to play on the same team if you want to be a successful couple.
- Open your eyes; he or she may already be in your entourage.
- Take the time to build a solid friendship before settling into feelings of love. There is no greater happiness than being married to your best friend.
- You need to see your future spouse as the most beautiful person in the world! Sometimes, this physical attraction takes time to build up. Still, if we grow old together, it is best to be physically attracted to the person who will accompany us through all the bodily changes that old age brings.
