Thunder (S2-E1)Sample

I Know
In this episode of The Chosen, Jesus speaks with Melek in a way that feels familiar to anyone who has read John 4. The Samaritan woman noticed it at the well, and Melek notices too: Jesus knows. He knows the story, the pain, the questions, the history. He is God, and nothing is hidden from Him.
That can feel a little frightening if you have something you would rather keep hidden. But it can also be incredibly comforting when you don’t know how to express what's going on inside. Before you speak a word, Jesus already knows.
In the scene with Melek, Jesus listens with full attention. He already knows it all, but He invites him to share it anyway.
The same is true for you. Jesus wants you to talk with Him. He invites you to share your thoughts, burdens, hopes, and struggles. Not because He needs the information, but because relationship grows through honesty, trust, and presence.
At the well, the Samaritan woman slowly realizes who she’s talking to as Jesus speaks. The knowledge He has about her past isn’t meant to shame her. It is meant to reveal God’s greatness to her.
Ask Jesus to show Himself to you in that same way. His all-knowing nature is not something to fear. It is meant to encourage you, remind you that you are fully known, and still deeply loved.
Reflection Questions
- What have you noticed about Jesus as you’ve spent time with Him?
- Does the idea that Jesus knows everything feel frightening or reassuring? Why?
