You are there

Do you ever memorize Bible verses? Just repeat them until they sink into your heart? In this episode of The Chosen, Matthew is doing exactly that. He’s learning words from Psalm 139, words about God’s presence in the highest places and in the deepest places.

But you can see that even while Matthew is memorizing the words, he is still struggling to understand it. What does it really mean for his everyday life?

"God is everywhere."

We say that, but Psalm 139 makes it personal. There is no place you can go where God is not. If you climbed to the heavens, He is there. If you found yourself in the lowest depths, He is there too. From your brightest moments to your darkest ones. From the memories that make you proud and those that make you feel ashamed.

God is there.

And here is a detail that often gets overlooked. Verse 7 asks, "How can I escape Your attention?" Not just His presence, but His attention.

God does not just exist near you as a silent presence. He is aware, engaged, and actively involved in your life. He is attentive and caring.

So today, remember that God is with you in every moment. Turn to Him when you have a question. Thank Him when you see something beautiful. Ask for His help when you feel stuck. Or simply talk to Him. He loves to hear from you.

Enjoy today knowing He is with you.

Lord, thank you for always being near. Open my eyes and ears so I can recognize You today. Amen.
