The Fruit of the Spirit is a special way that God helps us live like Jesus. Just like a tree grows delicious fruit when it’s healthy and strong, we can grow these special qualities in our hearts when we stay close to God. These qualities are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

When we follow Jesus, the Holy Spirit helps us to become more like Him. Each fruit represents a different part of how we can show God’s love to the world. Over the next few days, we will learn about each of these fruits and how they can grow in our lives.
