What does it say?
Timothy is charged to keep learning from God’s Word so that he would be complete and equipped for every good work.
What does it mean?
The Scriptures are divinely inspired. The Spirit worked through the biblical writers to record God’s Word exactly as he intended, which means that the Bible is true, reliable, and authoritative for our lives. It points us to salvation in Jesus and teaches, corrects, and trains us in righteousness so that we may become mature and complete and thoroughly equipped for every good work.
How should I respond?
Engaging with the Bible is the key to encountering and growing closer to Jesus and experiencing true life change. Make time every day to read God’s Word, and commit to putting it into practice. Invite God to use His Word to teach, correct, train, and equip you. Treasure and follow the Word of God in every way and throughout your life.
