Day 1: Work as Part of God’s Plan

As Joy Hammons, a dear friend of the EquipHer movement in America, said: “Our business and career can be our ministry, if we want it to be, we need to step into that and partner with God in that endeavor”.

God has called you to a unique purpose, and this includes your career. Often, we separate our spiritual life from our careers, viewing work only as a means to make a living. But what would happen if we saw our profession as an integral part of God's plan for our lives? The Bible teaches us that every aspect of our existence, including our career, can be an opportunity to serve and glorify Him.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters” (Colossians 3:23).

We are called not only to perform work that brings wealth or prestige, but to use our work to bring hope, light, and positive change.

Have you ever thought that God has placed you in your current work role for a divine purpose?

Prayer:

Lord, I thank You for the work You have entrusted to me. Help me recognize that my career is a part of Your plan for my life. Give me the wisdom to serve with joy, keeping my eyes on You. Amen.
