DAY EIGHT ~ Believe
Ephesians 6:16 “...In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”
Shields are traditionally used to protect someone who is being attacked. The "Shield of Faith" in our prophetic armor is the revelation of Jesus as your Protector against all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
God spoke to Abraham, the Father of Faith, and said, "Do not be afraid, I am your shield, your very great reward" (Genesis 15:1).
Our whole lives are an opportunity to trust Jesus. Sometimes flaming arrows fly. Maybe the arrow looks like a negative health report or a financial crisis. Remember: He is your shield. Faith is holding on to the Truth and believing for another day.
Hold up your Shield of Faith right now, take a deep breath and remember that He will never leave nor forsake you.
Father, I believe that my Shield of Faith is firmly inlaid with Your Power to protect me. There is no weapon formed against me that will prosper.

Welcome to a season of prayer and fasting, and a 14-day Devotional to encourage you along the way. Let us each set aside some time and space to be ready to hear from Heaven. From this position, we can see new possibilities as we intentionally fix our eyes on Jesus, and discover just how powerful we are when we pray. This Devotion comes from Ephesians 6. Our prayer is that over the next few days, the Living Word will reshape our hearts and minds and we will see answers to prayer and encounters in the Word.
