He Is...Good NewsSample

He Is...Peace
In the account of Jesus’ birth, angels appeared four times to deliver messages from God:
- To Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist, who would prepare the way for Jesus
- To Mary, the mother of Jesus
- To Joseph, who was engaged to Mary
- To the shepherds
Each time, they announced the coming of the promised Messiah. To the shepherds, a host of angels declared, “Peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased!” Through Jesus, God would reconcile everything to Himself, making peace with everything by His blood on the cross (Colossians 1:19-20).
Journal Prompt:
- What’s an area of your life where you need more peace?
- How can you work toward living at peace with everyone?

About this Plan

We all know how easy it is to get swept up in Christmas planning, shopping, decorating, and countless gatherings. These things are exciting and festive, but they can sometimes pull us away from what Christmas is truly about—the arrival of Emmanuel, “God with us.” The Good News is that, in a world filled with so much uncertainty, He is our Hope. He is our Love. He is our Peace, our Joy, our Light. This is the gift of Christmas, for each and every one of us.
