Take one minute, and breathe in and out slowly. Ask Jesus to make his presence known to you. We worry about so many things and notice what God hasn’t done. Have you ever had a time when you prayed for something, and God gave you what you needed? (helping people remember when Jesus has cared for you)

My husband has multiple dementias. Sometimes, the stresses of the day can be overwhelming. I am always on “alert.” Where is he putting his glasses, cell phone, or flashlight when he takes our dog outside? Did the dog come back inside with him? It can be exhausting. I try to stay focused on the day ahead. Worrying about the future does not help me cope with what I have in front of me today. “Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34, NIV).

Does God see me on the days I struggle? A friend wrote an early morning text, “I was praying this morning, and God told me to tell you…I am the burden lifter.” Later that day, another friend stopped by to help me tackle some deep cleaning – a job that is always made better when there is more than one set of hands. While we worked, another friend called, “God told me I should make dinner for you tonight.” Does God see? Is God walking with me through all of my day? Do I matter to God? Yes. No matter the chaos or boring mundaneness of the day, we are seen and heard. We are not alone.--Grateful for you, Christy
