Today, God is calling you out here!

It was an "ordinary" day, really. I got up early and now I was taking a walk around the lake where I currently was. We had traveled here specifically for a two-day session with the board of a very large Swiss association where I've been involved for over 10 years, to have some time away.

I put my headphones on and listened to worship music while praying, "Jesus, please give me clarity about my future." Honestly, I don't even know why I prayed that, because everything was clear. Everything was wonderful!

I love my role as the author of A Miracle Every Day, now in three languages. I love being on tour, and I love working with this board to build many social projects.

And in those moments "when things are going well," we honestly rarely ask God for clarity, right? Because then, we don't really need it. Even David said:

"Your favor, O Lord, made me as secure as a mountain.” (Psalm 30:7 NLT)

But what if, while things are going well, God wants to tell you something so you don't keep running in the wrong direction?

Not an hour later, God answered my prayer with a clarity I never expected! During the meeting, He spoke to me: "Open the devotional book on your computer."

And when I did, I read: "I'm calling you out here today!" You can imagine what that meant at that moment! (And we'll talk more about it in the days to come.)

I want to pass these words on to you today, on this ordinary day, whatever they may mean to you: Don't continue self-satisfied in one direction, if perhaps God is calling you in another direction. He wants to answer you as you seek clarity from Him today.

"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me." (John 10:27 NIV)

Do you want to hear His voice today? Will you listen to His voice?
