Consider It All JoySample

Serving Faithfully
Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.
1 Samuel 12:24
Lord,
I fall short of serving You with my whole heart. I am more faithful to show up promptly to a business appointment than to show up to church service on time. Why am I more enthusiastic about my child’s soccer game than I am about spiritual things? I love You Lord, so why is this Christian life so hard? Why is it such a struggle to be faithful in my spiritual life? I need a fresh and holy fear of You, Lord.
I look around at all of the blessings You have given me and I am in awe. Your faithfulness and goodness are all over my life in obvious ways. I notice how You have comforted me, guided me, and corrected me throughout my life. You are so faithful even when I have not been! Please forgive me for not faithfully serving You. Give me an undivided heart and a passion to live fully for You. Show me areas where I can make You more real to the people around me. I want to joyfully serve You all the days of my life because You are worthy. Thank You for Your faithfulness, Jesus!
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
