Have you ever been bowling? If you have, you know the first few times you go are way easier with bumpers. They keep the ball from rolling into the gutter so you can hit something. While they might feel silly, they help you get better at the game while still having fun.
Having good people around you can be a lot like having bumpers. When we are going through life, we might bounce back and forth, make mistakes, and struggle, but having trusted friends around us can help us stay on track- even when we mess up. They encourage us when we feel down, call us out when we make mistakes, and push us to be better.
This week, send a text to a friend, small group leader, or mentor. Let them know you appreciate them and how they’ve helped you grow. Having the right people in your life makes all the difference.
