Wonder

DAY 8 OF 28

Reading the Bible can feel intimidating sometimes. But one simple way of studying Scripture is called S.O.A.P. It stands for "Scripture," "Observation," "Application," and "Prayer." We'll show you how—it's easy!

S: Scripture

If you haven't already, read today's passage of Scripture. Then summarize it in your own words.

O: Observation

Read Matthew 6:24–34 again.

  • What stands out to you?
  • What instruction do you see in it?
  • What questions do you still have?

A: Application

  • What do you have in your life that usually distracts you from focusing on your relationship with God?
  • What does this passage invite you to do differently in order to meet your needs?
  • What would it look like to trust God to meet your needs rather than relying on others or yourself?

P: Prayer

Spend some time in prayer about the needs you're experiencing. Where do you tend to turn to see those needs be met? Ask for help trusting God to care for you and direct your focus on how God has provided for you. Then, thank God for all the ways you are provided what you need.

About this Plan

Wonder

Have you ever stood in awe of a natural wonder—a pristine glacier, a golden sunset, or vast ocean—and been amazed by its beauty? These remind us of the incredible God who created everything. So, what would it look like to live every day in awe of our Creator? For the next 28 days, we’ll explore what it means to worship—not just with songs or prayers, but with the way we live. Our lives are shaped by our response to the wonder of who God is, and we’ll see when we worship, we get to know God more.
