Peace in Chaos: 3 Days to a More Present Faith Even When Life Feels Rushed, Stressful, or UncertainSample

Have you ever reached the end of a day and realized you barely thought about God at all?
It's not that you don't value your relationship. Life just gets busy, and before you know it, your day has been filled with human-to-human interactions with barely any human-to-God conversations.
The most transformative spiritual practice isn't finding more time for God—it's finding God in more moments.
Mindfulness—the practice of being fully present—has become popular for reducing stress and anxiety. But spiritual mindfulness goes beyond self-awareness; it’s about recognizing that God is present with you in every moment.
This isn't complicated theology. It's about transforming:
- Your morning coffee into a moment of gratitude.
- Your commute into a sanctuary of prayer.
- Your endless chores into opportunities for conversation with God.
3 PRACTICAL WAYS TO NOTICE GOD'S PRESENCE TODAY
- When you notice something beautiful: Instead of just thinking, "That's pretty," consider the many incredible ways God is on display in His creation.
- When making decisions: Replace solo deliberation with partnership: "Father, what do You think about this? Please guide my next step."
- When feeling weary: Instead of pushing through exhaustion, take a 2-minute God-break. This could be prayer, but it could also be something fun like scrolling through photos on your phone and reminiscing with God about His faithfulness.
THE ANXIETY LIE
I've battled anxious thoughts my whole life. For years, I believed that worrying made me more prepared and in control. I thought anxiety served me. But it only held me captive.
- THE LIE I BELIEVED: "Be hurried and worry because you're always at risk."
That’s not from God. He offers something much better.
- GOD'S INVITATION: "Be still and know that I am God."
Take a deep breath. Let your thoughts settle. Notice how your body feels—are you tense, distracted, weary? Whatever it is, let this be a reminder: God is with you right now. You don’t have to change anything to be in His presence. Just be.
Know that He is God. And God is with you in this moment.
Research shows that feeling like someone really "gets" you can ease stress and literally calm your nervous system.
How much more powerful it is to experience the Creator of the universe seeing, knowing, and being with you in any single moment.
God is at hand. He's right here. You don't have to navigate life worrying about what comes next. You can draw near to Him constantly in everything—with requests, with rejoicing, with thanksgiving—because He is here.
This mindfulness of God's presence isn't just for "spiritual" activities. It's for grocery shopping, traffic jams, and meetings. It's for ordinary Tuesday afternoons when nothing special is happening.
TRY THIS
Today, as you go about your routine, choose three ordinary moments—brushing your teeth, driving, making dinner—and simply acknowledge, “God, You're here.” See what happens when you make space to notice Him in the midst of your day.
Tomorrow, we'll tackle one of the biggest obstacles to experiencing God's presence: uncertainty. You'll discover how even your most unsettled moments can become powerful encounters with God.
