We War from Heaven to Earth

“He raised us up with Christ, the exalted One, and we ascended with him into the glorious perfection and authority of the heavenly realm, for we are now co-seated as one with Christ!” (Ephesians 2:6, TPT)

In Luke 10, Jesus told the returning missionaries He watched satan topple until he fell from heaven while they were ministering. Christ was watching them in the Spirit from heaven as they declared and demanded the demons to obey them. He witnessed satan lose his balance (topple) and then fall at their command. WOW!

“When the seventy missionaries returned to Jesus, they were ecstatic with joy, telling him, “Lord, even the demons obeyed us when we commanded them in your name!” Jesus replied, “While you were ministering, I watched satan topple until he fell suddenly from heaven like lightning to the ground. Now you understand that I have imparted to you my authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will harm you as you walk in this authority.” (Luke 10:17-19, TPT)

Why was all of this witnessed from heaven? Because we war in spirit from our place in heaven. Once we accept Christ as our savior and are filled with the Holy Spirit, we ascend in spirit to heaven and are co-seated with Him (see the scripture under the title of this page).

We must learn to war from on high; to visualize ourselves in a place of power and authority seated with Jesus. He observes and helps us in our battles. He also sends angels to war with us and for us. This is easier to understand when we remember Jesus was fully man here on earth, but He exercised power and authority from heaven through the Holy Spirit. We are to do the same.

We are never alone in our battles. The fight is real, but it is not a solitary one; we have all the resources heaven has to offer at our disposal. All the power and authority given to Christ is also given to us. Our position is not Lord of Lord and King of Kings, but as co-heirs, He speaks through us when we open our mouths and begin to declare the truth of every situation as seen through His eyes, not ours. See it, declare it, and believe it in confidence and expectation.

My Prayer for You

Father, I pray often to let me see others as you see them. I now come humbly before you to ask that each of these precious ones seeking truth learn to see themselves as You see them. Let them rise up in full awareness of who they are in Your Kingdom, not as the enemy rises up arrogant and callous in his temporary position of limited power, but as warriors in the army of God. Thank you, Father God, for loving them and leading them into deeper understanding, wisdom, and action to fulfill their predetermined destiny with You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen!

Declaration / Affirmation (read aloud)

My destiny was set and determined before the foundations of the world. I am anointed and equipped to carry out the will of my Father. I will do what I see Him do and say what I hear Him say. My life will be a reflection of His love, and I will strive to carry His message to all He sends my way. He is the keeper of my heart, and I am safe in His loving care.
