After You

DAY 28 OF 28

At the end of every week, we'll give you a challenge—something to try that might be outside your regular routine. Each challenge is designed to help you develop one important spiritual habit. This week, it's...

SHARE YOUR STORY

You've probably been told it's really important to share your story of faith with others. But sometimes we think we don't have a story to tell, or we're not ready or experienced enough to share it. But the truth is, you do have stories to share, and you're ready right now! Today's challenge is going to help you identify a part of your story that's worth sharing, and then help you share it. Because sharing your story can help others, but sharing it helps you grow, too!

Joy is the decision you make to rejoice no matter what. Happiness happens because of your circumstances, but choosing joy leads to consistent happiness no matter what we're going through. For this challenge, choose something you can rejoice over and invite your friends to celebrate it with you.

What's something you can be happy about? Invite friends on social media, in a group chat, or in person to have a mini celebration with you for it. You could choose something a friend has accomplished or overcome and make the time about them. In your invite, say something like: "Will you celebrate something/someone awesome with me?" and then summarize what happened. Finish your message with a plan to get together for cupcakes, cookies, or other ways to treat yourself!

About this Plan

After You

We all know God wants us to love others—it’s one of the most important things Jesus taught. But let’s be honest… actually doing it? That’s not always easy, especially when life feels busy or like people aren’t easy to love. In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we’ll explore how Jesus shows us what loving others really looks like. We'll learn that he challenges us to move away from the world’s “me first” attitude and embrace his “after you” message as we follow his example.
