Want an easy-to-remember way to read and study the Bible? No matter which passage of Scripture you're reading, ask yourself these three questions: "What?" "So What?" "Now What?" We'll show you how!
WHAT? What is this passage about?
What emotion does this passage warn us not to let steer our actions when there are people we disagree with?
SO WHAT? Why does it matter?
Why do you think Jesus chose such a seemingly extreme response to how we approach our relationships that need repair?
Why do you think God cares if we forgive others?
NOW WHAT? What should I do about it?
Think about past relationships in your life that created hurt or disagreement. When this happened, who did you tend to blame?
Letting go of anger doesn't mean excusing the other person's harmful behavior. What would it look like for you to seek reconciliation without going back to an unhealthy relationship?
Who's someone you need to make amends with? What's a step you can take toward doing that today?
