From Acceptance to Approval: Living a Life That Pleases the Father

DAY 14 OF 30

GOD IS JUST, NOT JUST FAIR

In walking with God, it is important to understand that He deals with us on the basis of justice, not merely fairness. Romans 8:30 reveals a divine sequence — predestination, calling, justification, and glorification — that is based on God’s righteous dealings. Similarly, Psalm 103:10 (KJV) reminds us, “He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.” While human beings cry out for fairness based on emotions and appearances, God operates from a realm of perfect justice, rewarding every man according to his walk, obedience, and faithfulness.

Many believers wrongly assume that God's love must translate into equal blessings for all His children. However, in divine economy, your rewards are determined by your responses. Acceptance into God's family is by grace, but advancement in His kingdom is by faithfulness. If two sons serve their father differently — one with diligence and the other with negligence — it would be unjust for the father to reward them equally. God's justice ensures that each man reaps according to his sowing. His dealings are perfect, pure, and beyond human calculations. Therefore, your focus should not be on comparing yourself with others but on ensuring that you are pleasing the Father personally.

I want you to learn that growing beyond acceptance into divine approval demands that you embrace God's justice as beautiful and righteous. You must trust His wisdom and focus on your race. Align yourself with the Father’s system of justice. Serve Him joyfully, obey Him sincerely, and trust that He is a righteous rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Divine justice guarantees that no labour of love, no act of obedience, and no step of faith will go unnoticed before the throne of the Father.

THOUGHT TO PONDER: Are you more focused on comparing yourself with others instead of concentrating on pleasing the Father? How can you align your heart today with God's system of perfect justice rather than seeking mere fairness?

PRAYER: Dear Father, thank You for being a just and righteous God. Help me to embrace Your system of justice with joy and reverence. Teach me to focus on my personal walk with You, trusting that You will reward me faithfully and righteously. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
