Sacred Crumbs: Where Small Meets SacredSample

Sacred Crumbs: Where Small Meets Sacred

DAY 3 OF 3

Crumbs Count Too

“Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” —Matthew 15:27 NIV

She asked Jesus for a miracle—using a crumb as her argument. Not a feast. Not a firework. Just a carb. A fragment of hope.

And Jesus didn’t roll His eyes. He didn’t tell her to come back when she had a real request. Rather, He called her faith great.

Maybe sometimes that’s all you have too. Not a bold declaration. Not a power pose. Just a half-formed prayer and a deep sigh that somehow counts as “amen.”

Because crumbs count with Jesus.

He once fed thousands with five loaves and two fish—and afterward? He told His disciples in John 6:12 (NIV):

“Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.”

Let nothing be wasted.

Not the leftover bread.

Not your sleepy-eyed prayer from under the covers.

Not the breath you took before biting your tongue (even though it was very bite-worthy). Not even the crumbs.

God isn’t looking for a polished plate. He sees the faith in your fragments.

So, if today you’re holding a crumb of strength… a teaspoon of trust… a granola bar’s worth of hope—good news:

That’s plenty in the hands of a Savior who multiplies leftovers. Even crumbs are sacred.

You don’t need a perfect prayer or polished plan.

You don’t need to feel strong or sound impressive.

You just need to offer what you do have—honestly, humbly, heart-in-hand. And Jesus, in His kindness, receives it.

He gathers up the crumbs, the sighs, the whispered “help” that never made it past your lips. He calls it faith.

He calls it enough.

Because in His hands, even the smallest offering becomes something sacred.

Prayer:

You bless even my crumbs, Jesus, and turn them into something sacred. I trust You to make them more than enough. In Your name, I pray.
