DAY 6: Faith That Outlives You

What if your greatest act of faith wasn’t something you achieved, but something you passed on?

Abraham never saw the fullness of God’s promise with his own eyes, but he passed the dream on to Isaac and Jacob. That’s legacy. That’s discipleship. That’s faith with a long view.

We’re reminded in today's text that Abraham’s bold dream didn’t end in his tent—it lived on in the next generation. His faith became a foundation others built on. And that’s exactly how God works: He uses your faith today to shape someone else's future tomorrow.

Years ago, I (Mark) visited Rwanda during a time of national mourning, marking the anniversary of the genocide. In that place of deep grief, God stirred a bold vision in my heart—to believe for “100 Days of Hope.” Though I didn’t have a title or visible leadership role at the time, and I struggled through my own self-doubts, I stepped out in faith. And the results were miraculous: children received Bibles, prisoners were cared for, surgeries were performed, and thousands came to know Jesus.

That’s legacy. Not built on visibility or recognition, but on bold obedience.

You may feel unseen or unqualified. But legacy isn’t built on applause—it’s built on obedience. God isn’t asking if you’re ready to be famous. He’s asking if you’re ready to be faithful.

Because someone else’s miracle might be waiting on your obedience.
