It's okay to have diversity of food tastes. Frankly, I have my own opinions on broccoli and Brussels sprouts. If you like them, I hope you eat them all. But I care intensely about what you believe in, more specifically whom you believe in. Because if you're off worshiping a false god, you will not only have a life that's harder and sadder than it could be, but I will be cheated of your company in heaven.
There are not many gods. There are not many equally true religious philosophies. There are not many equally valid paths to heaven. There are not many equally valid truths.
The God of the Bible is jealous about his identity and message. "There is one body and one Spirit--just as you were called to one hope when you were called--one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all" (Ephesians 4:4-6).
I hope you cultivate a very tolerant and accepting worldview when it comes to food, music, art, and tattoos. I hope you will never be ashamed to urge people to faith in the one God, the God of the Bible.
