Devotional Thought
Have you ever felt like you had to prove yourself to fit in—like if you just said the right thing, looked the right way, or performed well enough, people would finally accept you? The world runs on performance. But Paul opens his letter with something completely different. Over and over, he says that everything good about us is in Christ. You were chosen in Christ, adopted through Christ, and redeemed by Christ. That means your identity isn’t something you earn—it’s something Jesus already secured for you. You don’t have to fight to be found. You’ve already been found.
Reflection Question:
Where are you still trying to prove yourself—even though Jesus already proved your worth?

About this Plan

The book of Ephesians is a letter written by Paul while imprisoned in Rome. He wrote to encourage believers in Ephesus, a wealthy city known for trade and idol worship. These Christians had once been far from God but were now learning what it meant to be found in Him. Paul reminded them of their new identity in Christ and called them to live differently—treating others well, speaking kindly, obeying, and standing strong in faith through life’s challenges. Join us in this 14-day devotional as we unpack Ephesians and what it means to follow Jesus!
