Spirit-Led Emotions: Mastering Emotions With Holy Spirit Sample

Day 4: Jesus Felt Deeply—But Responded Wisely
Devotional Thought:
Jesus was emotionally attuned. He wept. He grew weary. He expressed anger. But He never sinned in His emotions. His heart broke for others, yet He remained anchored in truth. Jesus didn’t ignore His emotions—He modeled what it looks like to feel deeply while staying rooted in God’s will. We are invited into that same Spirit-led emotional life, where compassion, lament, and boldness coexist in holiness.
Processing Questions:
- What emotions are you tempted to suppress because you think they’re “unspiritual”?
- How might Jesus model a healthy expression of that same emotion?
- What would it look like for you to feel with God, not just for God?
Prayer Prompt:
Jesus, thank You for showing me that it’s okay to feel. Teach me to express my emotions in ways that honor You and bring healing to others.
