May our marriage have encouragement from being united with Christ; comforted from His love and in fellowship with His Spirit. Pray for tenderness and compassion, joy, like-mindedness, the same love, and to be one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Pray for a perspective of humility which will enable us to consider others better than ourselves in our marriages, among our children, within the members of our extended family, and church family. Pray we will look not to our own interests, but to the interests of others. What are some interests of others that you can pray about and act upon? Ask God for the mindset of Christ Jesus!
