Live Your Calling

“Do you have to wear something different in every video? Jesus would surely never have done that. How big do you think His walk-in closet was… as big as yours? And then there’s such a beautiful place where you’re filming. Jesus didn’t even have a microphone…” 🎤

Yes, you know, I sometimes find comments like these under the videos we get to make. And I would like to react and “explain,” or almost even apologize.

I’d explain that this isn’t my home. That we are blessed because this wonderful family welcomes us into their home for several days each time, providing for us warmly and making our work so much easier. They consider it their personal calling, and we are incredibly thankful for it. 💜

And, I’d explain that we’re now reaching so many young people—even children—with these videos because they think it’s “cool” what clothes I wear, how I’m made up, etc… But God says every time:

“No. Don’t explain anything. Just do your work, Déborah!”

Even Paul said to Timothy: “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance.” (1 Timothy 4:8-9 NIV)

It goes on to say in verse 10: “That is why we labor and strive…”

This really means: Let people talk, but what’s more important is living your calling! 😀

Yes, we humans are so quick to “point fingers,” while God is pleased that we spread the faith!

And while we do this, He blesses us. Just like we get to film in this beautiful home of a blessed and generous family—blessing others in the process!

Because God is good!
