The Mission of God

When the Bible talks about “fearing God,” it doesn’t mean we should be scared of Him. It is about reverence: showing deep respect for who He is and what He has done. Reverent love means we see God as perfect, powerful, and deserving of our worship. One way we worship God is by delighting in obedience to His Word. You can show that love by worshiping Him for His goodness, protecting your heart and mind from hurtful habits, and standing firm in your faith.

CHALLENGE ALERT! Choose a new way you will show reverent love for God today:

1. I will give up a hurtful habit.
2. I will set time aside to worship God each morning.
3. I will find joy in God’s Word instead of time-wasters.

“God, You are mighty and incredible. There is nothing in this world that can compare to You! Please help me to remember the lessons I have learned in Your Word, and help me find joy in obeying Your Word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
