The Way, the Truth, and the Life
In John chapter 14, as Jesus prepares his disciples for his departure, he offers comfort and the promise of the Holy Spirit. He assures them that in his Father's house are many rooms, and he goes to prepare a place for them. Jesus declares that he is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through him. He emphasizes the unity between him and the Father, promising that those who believe will do greater works. The chapter underscores the coming of the Holy Spirit as a Helper who will be with believers forever, teaching and reminding them of Jesus' teachings. Jesus leaves his disciples with peace and encourages them not to be troubled or afraid.
