30 Days of Endurance for Women LeadersSample

Week 3 — Trained for Battle
Day 16: Strength in Weakness
Biblical Basis: 2 Corinthians 12:9–10 (ESV)
“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities.
For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
Paul’s words confront the natural instinct to hide weakness and project strength. Yet here is the paradox of spiritual endurance: true strength emerges through acknowledging and embracing weakness.
God’s grace is sufficient. His grace is not just adequate, but overflowing precisely in our moments of imperfection and shortcoming. Yet, when we accept our limitations and relinquish control, God’s power fills the void.
This perspective transforms hardship from a liability into a conduit of divine strength.
The call is to boast in weakness, not to glorify suffering. It is to highlight the power of Christ resting in Him with a heart of surrender.
Remember: Endurance does not come from self-reliance but from dependence on the sufficiency of God’s grace, which is perfected in our weakness, as this is the state where we allow ourselves to rely on Him fully. As we continue to grow in spiritual maturity and biblical literacy, dependence on God becomes our first response, instead of an afterthought.
DEEP Reflection:
- D – Draw Near to God:
Pray: “Lord, teach me to find strength in my weakness. Help me to rely fully on Your grace.” - E – Examine the Text:
Read 2 Corinthians 12:1–10. What does Paul say about the relationship between weakness and God’s power? - E – Engage Your Heart:
In what areas do you resist admitting weakness? How might embracing weakness open the door for God’s power? - P – Practice the Principle:
Identify one vulnerability you will surrender to God today. Invite His strength to rest upon you in that area through prayer.
By the end of your day, write a prayer confessing where you feel weak. Invite God to show you his perspective regarding that area of your life and request his strength to address it.
See you on day seventeen.
