30 Days of Endurance for Women LeadersSample

Week 4 — Strength Renewed
Day 24: Strength in Stillness
Biblical Basis: Psalm 46:10 (ESV)
“Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
In the relentless pace of leadership and life, stillness often feels like a luxury—something to squeeze in between tasks or after the urgent has passed. But God calls you to something deeper: strength in stillness.
“Be still, and know that I am God” is not a gentle suggestion. It is a command with power to transform your soul. Stillness is an active posture of surrender—choosing to cease striving and rest fully in God’s sovereignty.
This stillness is not emptiness or passivity; it is the fertile ground where clarity grows, fear dissipates, and peace takes root. It’s in these moments of quiet that God reveals His presence, whispers His truth, and refines your endurance. Stillness resists the temptation to react impulsively or frantically. Instead, it invites you to slow down enough to see what God is doing beneath the surface—beyond the noise and pressure.
Strength in stillness means trusting God’s timing and purposes even when the next step isn’t clear. It’s the courage to pause and listen rather than rush ahead on your own. This practice nurtures resilience. It roots you in God’s unchanging nature, preparing you to face challenges with calm confidence. Today, give yourself permission to be still. Let your soul breathe and find strength in the presence of God, who is exalted above all.
DEEP Reflection:
- D – Draw Near to God:
Pray: “Lord, help me find strength in stillness. Teach me to cease striving and trust You fully.” - E – Examine the Text:
Read Psalm 46. How does the psalmist describe God’s power and presence in the midst of chaos? - E – Engage Your Heart:
When have you struggled to be still? What might change if you embraced stillness as a source of strength? - P – Practice the Principle:
Set aside five minutes today to sit quietly, breathe deeply, and simply be present with God. Return to this practice whenever anxiety or busyness rises.
By the end of your day, set aside 15 minutes to sit silently before God without distraction.
See you on day twenty-five.
