Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 NKJV).
Do you value life?
David writes Psalm 139:14 (NKJV) “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made”. David, in Psalm 139, captures the beauty of God as Creator. We are introduced to two midwives in the book of Exodus: Shiphrah and Puah. They had been instructed by the pharaoh to kill the male Israelite babies (Exodus 1:15-16), but did not heed the command of the king (Exodus 1:17). What does God do for them? God gives them families of their own (Exodus 1:21). God is the giver of life, the sustainer of life, and as our employment point today states, we should honor those who value life to imitate God.
Employment Point: Honor those who value life, to imitate God.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
