Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him (Proverbs 30:5 NKJV).
What is the most repeated command in the Bible?
It is “do not be afraid.” Abraham was afraid. He had rescued his nephew Lot from his captors and had concern that those individuals would retaliate. The Lord appears to Abram and says, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.” (Genesis 15:1 NKJV).
Abraham found comfort in the Word of God, and so should we. Proverbs 30:5 (NKJV) says, “Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.”
Employment Point: Trust in God as your protector.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
