Gradually Then SuddenlySample

SOVEREIGN ACCELERATION
As we come to the end of this reading plan, can I speak prophetically over your life? I don’t know what setbacks or heartbreaks you’ve experienced. But I’ve learned to stand on God’s principles and promises. You cannot break the law of sowing and reaping—it will make or break you. If you keep doing the right things day after day, God is going to show up and show off. That doesn’t mean you won’t get knocked down a time or two or ten. Such is life! But you have to believe that God is planning His work and working His plan. You have to believe, as the psalmist said, “Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy!” (Psalm 126:5, ESV).
I’ve weathered disappointment and discouragement. I’ve got emotional and spiritual scars, as well as physical ones. I’ve endured plenty of setbacks, but I’ve also experienced seasons of blessings where you buckle up and keep your hands inside the ride at all times.
“In that day I will restore
the fallen tent of David.
I will repair its gaps, restore its ruins,
and rebuild it as in the days of old.” …
“Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when the plowman will overtake the reaper.” (Amos 9:11, 13, BSB)
God is promising productivity that is nothing short of supernatural—a sovereign acceleration. You could even call it a multiplication anointing that reaps thirty, sixty, hundredfold. The NLT says, “The grain and grapes will grow faster than they can be harvested” (Amos 9:13).
Regardless of what season you find yourself in, the challenge is this: Enjoy the journey—every age, every stage, every page. If you focus on gradually, God will take care of suddenly! Sooner or later, sovereign acceleration will take you by storm.
Lord, thank You that You turn seasons of waiting into seasons of acceleration. As I sow faithfully each day, let me trust You to bring a supernatural harvest in Your perfect time.
